How to Calculate Overtime?

Overtime Pay = Normal Hourly Wage × Overtime Multiplier × Overtime Hours

Overtime Multipliers:

  • 150% (1.5x): Normal overtime hours
  • 200% (2x): Weekends and public holidays
  • 125% (1.25x): Lower rate applied in some sectors
  • 175% (1.75x): Rate applied for night shifts

Example Calculation:

  • Normal Hourly Wage: 85.50 ₺
  • Overtime Hours: 4 hours
  • Overtime Multiplier: 150% (1.5x)
  • Overtime Hourly Wage: 85.50 × 1.5 = 128.25 ₺
  • Total Overtime Pay: 128.25 × 4 = 513 ₺

Legal Information:

According to Turkish Labor Law, overtime pay is paid as at least 150% of the normal wage. In case of working on weekends and general holidays, this rate increases to 200%.
