📊 VAT Calculator

Calculate amounts including and excluding VAT with different VAT rates.

How to Calculate VAT?

Adding VAT:

Amount Incl. VAT = Amount Excl. VAT × (1 + VAT Rate/100)

Example: 1000 ₺ + 20% VAT = 1000 × 1.20 = 1200 ₺

Extracting VAT:

Amount Excl. VAT = Amount Incl. VAT ÷ (1 + VAT Rate/100)

Example: Extracting 20% VAT from 1200 ₺ = 1200 ÷ 1.20 = 1000 ₺

VAT Rates in Turkey:

  • 1%: Basic food items (bread, milk, meat, etc.)
  • 10%: Some food products, pharmaceuticals, books, newspapers
  • 20%: General rate (most goods and services)

Use Cases:

  • Invoice preparation
  • Accounting transactions
  • Price determination
  • Tax calculations
  • E-commerce pricing
💡 Tip: Check whether the price includes or excludes VAT when issuing an invoice. Prices for consumer sales usually include VAT.
